YOGA AND WRITING: A WOMEN'S ADVENTURE
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, JUNE 2013
Calling all women who do too much! Disconnect from the world and join us for a week of self-discovery, rejuvenation and creativity. Through mindfulness meditation, hatha yoga, intuitive journaling and creative writing we will center and open our minds, settle into the moment and reconnect with our selves. Let nature work it's magic as you soak in the inspiring scenery. Opt to spend your day biking, hiking or simply relaxing. Tucked away in northwest Colorado, Steamboat Springs is the perfect place to be on retreat.

YOGA
We will begin and end each day with yoga and meditation. Our morning practice will focus on finding stillness, exploring our physical boundaries through vinyasa flow yoga as well as tapping into our creativity. Reflection will be the theme for our evening practice through restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation and writing. Optional yoga workshops will be offered throughout the week. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
WRITING
Yoga, the joining of mind and body, can open up new pathways into yourself and your writing. Our yoga practice will focus on 'sparking' our creative juices. Morning and evening, we will discover the play between the written word and yoga, incorporating writing into our yoga practice. Creative writing workshops will be held inside and outside throughout the week focusing on different themes. Take time out just for you and simply write! No writing or yoga experience is required - just a sense of adventure.
PLAYING OUTSIDE
Let nature inspire you - opt to explore the beautiful Rocky Mountains by bike or on foot. The day is yours to spend as you wish. We have deliberately chosen not to plan every day - it's your retreat and we want you to create your own perfect retreat experience.
ACCOMMODATION
Your home for the week is a luxury seven bedroom home located on the ski mountain. Equipped with a roof-top deck with hot tub and fireplace, yoga studio, home theatre and lots of nooks for writing and reading. Live like a queen for a week!
MEALS
A local chef will create healthy, seasonal and local dishes morning and evening. All breakfasts, three lunches and three evening meals are included in the retreat.
THE SOULSPARK TEAM
Alexandra Pallut, founding director of SoulSpark Journeys, will be your host, guide and one of your yoga instructors for the week. Depending upon retreat numbers, Alli Brook will also join the SoulSpark team. Writing workshops will be facilitated by a guest instructor.
